TALK WITH US
Greetings, I am Ramón Fandos, the creator of the concept “Active Balance.” From an early age, I was drawn to the pursuit of a point of harmony between the intensity of activity and the serenity of rest. This personal search eventually gave rise to the creation of this project.
Our environment often pushes us to extremes: the overwhelming pace of daily routines or the inertia of inactivity. Faced with this reality, I developed a philosophy designed to guide us towards a middle path—steady, balanced, and enriching.
In shaping “Active Balance,” I discovered tools that enhanced my own well-being and quality of life, while also witnessing how they have positively transformed the lives of those with whom I have shared them.
This approach brings together complementary practices: meditation, which reconnects us with our essence; Qi Gong, which teaches us to flow with vital energy; and Pilates, which reminds us of the importance of strength and bodily alignment. Together, they form a methodology that goes beyond physical wellness, offering a framework for integral health that unites body and mind.
It is a genuine pleasure to share with you this philosophy, which has been the cornerstone of my life. My hope is that, as you embark on your own journey towards “Active Balance,” you will discover a richer, more harmonious, and more meaningful way of living. I warmly invite you to join me in this adventure, finding your balance step by step. Let us walk together on this transformative path.
My journey with BEMER began some time ago, when I was facing difficulties with my vision. Confronted with these health challenges, I started searching for solutions and treatments that could truly support me. It was then that I encountered BEMER technology—and what I discovered was nothing short of remarkable.
Since integrating BEMER into my daily life, I have not only experienced significant improvements in my visual health, but I have also come to appreciate the broader impact it has on overall well-being. This personal experience encouraged me to explore the world of BEMER in depth, leading me to become both a specialist and a committed advocate of its technology.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of guiding many individuals through their own experiences with BEMER, ensuring that each one benefits fully from this innovative therapy. I remain deeply dedicated to education and support, providing clear and up-to-date information to all who are interested.
Being part of the BEMER community is a journey that continues to enrich my life every day. If you have questions, concerns, or simply wish to learn more, I am here to assist you.
Together, let us make every day count. I look forward to accompanying you on this transformative path.
What is Active Balance?
The philosophy of “Active Balance” rests on the idea that our essence is found in the dynamic interplay of opposites. In a world that so often drives us toward extremes, it becomes essential to recall the value of finding and sustaining a balanced centre. Balance does not imply passivity or inaction; rather, it is a subtle dance—between giving and receiving, advancing and retreating, growing and pausing to rest.
1. Action and Rest Each day we are immersed in activities that demand our energy, attention, and time. Yet rest is equally essential. Just as a musician recognises the value of silence between notes, we must learn to appreciate the moments of stillness between our actions.
2. Movement and Stillness Physical activity is vital for maintaining a healthy body and an agile mind. Equally important, however, is stillness—the space in which we reflect, restore, and reconnect with our inner self. This philosophy draws inspiration from practices such as Qi Gong and Pilates, which highlight the importance of moving with intention and awareness, thereby strengthening the mind–body connection.
3. Interconnection of Practices Qi Gong teaches us to circulate vital energy, or “Qi,” throughout the body, enhancing health and longevity. Pilates focuses on the core, improving posture and alignment, and guiding us to move efficiently and harmoniously. Meditation, in turn, invites us to look inward, to explore our inner landscape, and to find peace in quietude.
4. Balance in Diet and Nutrition In the same way, our diet should reflect balance. Nourishing the body with clean, natural foods, while also allowing ourselves to enjoy occasional pleasures without guilt, is a true expression of active balance.
5. Social Connection and Solitude While we value social bonds and moments shared with loved ones, it is equally important to honour solitude—those times when we reconnect with ourselves and replenish our energy.
Conclusion The philosophy of Active Balance serves as a constant reminder that well-being is not a static state but a journey that moves between yin and yang, between action and pause. It is an invitation to live with intention, recognising that in balance lies the true essence of a healthy and fulfilling life.
The fast pace of modern life, full of constant stimuli and distractions, can often lead us to feel disconnected from our own selves. In this context, meditation emerges as an essential tool for reconnecting with our inner core, allowing us to discover a source of serenity that resides within us.
An Inner Refuge Meditation offers us a refuge, a sacred space where we can withdraw from external noise. It is an invitation to quiet distractions and to journey into the depth of our mind and spirit. In doing so, we begin to realise that, although we cannot control everything that happens around us, we do have mastery over how we respond.
Mindfulness and Presence Meditation is not merely about silence or stillness. It is a discipline of mindfulness, a way of being fully present in each moment. This presence allows us to experience life more deeply and meaningfully, as we begin to live with intention, recognising both the beauty and the lesson in every experience.
Emotional Regulation By cultivating self-awareness through meditation, we gain clarity over our emotions and thoughts. This enables us to identify and manage feelings such as fear, anger, or sadness, preventing them from overwhelming us. Instead, we learn to welcome, understand, and release them, allowing emotions to flow without resistance.
Health Benefits Extensive studies have shown that meditation brings tangible benefits to both physical and mental health. It can strengthen immune function, lower blood pressure, improve sleep quality, and enhance concentration. Meditation is a powerful tool for holistic well-being.
Conclusion The Inner Stillness that meditation provides is both a fortress and a beacon. It is a practice that helps us navigate life with grace, serenity, and genuine understanding, reminding us that at the core of our being lies an unshakable peace—waiting to be discovered and embraced.
Qi Gong: An Ancient Practice of Flow Qi Gong, an ancient Chinese discipline, combines slow, deliberate movements with conscious breathing and meditation to balance and enhance our vital energy, or “Qi.” Through its practice, we learn to move with grace and intention, recognising that each gesture is an expression of our life force.
Qi Gong teaches us to attune to the body—to listen carefully and respond to its needs—encouraging a harmonious circulation of energy. More than exercise, it is a way of cultivating awareness, resilience, and inner equilibrium, guiding us towards a deeper connection between body, mind, and spirit.
The Art of Movement Unlike many Western forms of exercise that often emphasise strength and speed, Qi Gong values softness and slowness. Each gesture and posture is performed with meticulous attention, as if painting a canvas with the brushes of our own limbs. This delicacy allows energy to flow freely, dissolving blockages and restoring balance.
Breath and Awareness Breathing is fundamental in Qi Gong. Through it, we not only oxygenate the body but also guide and direct vital energy. By synchronising breath with movement, we create a rhythm that nourishes and revitalises every cell, tissue, and organ within us.
Balance and Harmony Qi Gong seeks balance: between Yin and Yang, between activity and stillness, between heaven and earth. By moving the body in specific patterns, we harmonise these opposites, cultivating a state of unity and inner cohesion.
Connection with Nature Many of Qi Gong’s postures and movements are inspired by the natural world—trees, mountains, rivers, animals. By imitating these patterns, we reconnect with nature, reminding ourselves that we are part of a greater whole and that our energy is but a reflection of universal energy.
Healing and Prevention On a therapeutic level, Qi Gong has been practised for centuries to treat and prevent illness. By balancing the “Qi,” we strengthen the immune system, improve circulation, and promote homeostasis, creating an internal environment conducive to health and longevity.
Conclusion Flowing with Energy
Pilates: Alignment and Conscious Movement Pilates is not merely a form of exercise; it is a discipline that fosters proper body alignment, core strength, and balance. Its fundamental principles—concentration, control, precision, and breathing—resonate closely with the philosophy of Active Balance.
The Pilates Method: Strength and Balance Developed by Joseph Pilates in the 20th century, the Pilates method has transcended generations and borders, establishing itself as one of the most effective practices for strengthening and balancing both body and mind.
Concentration and Presence Pilates emphasises the importance of being fully present during each exercise. Concentration not only enhances our ability to perform movements with precision, but also fosters a mind–body connection, leading to a meditative state in motion.
Control and Precision In Pilates, quality matters more than quantity. Fewer repetitions performed with impeccable technique are preferable, ensuring that muscles are engaged correctly, reducing the risk of injury, and maximising benefits.
Conscious Breathing Breathing is fundamental in Pilates. As in meditation and Qi Gong, it serves as a tool to connect with the body, oxygenate the blood, and facilitate movement. Through breath, Pilates teaches us to move from our centre, engaging the diaphragm and strengthening the core.
Alignment and Posture One of the most notable benefits of Pilates is improved posture. Regular practice leads to proper spinal alignment, reducing tension and discomfort. By strengthening the core, a natural support for the spine is created, providing unmatched stability and balance.
Fluidity and Grace Despite its emphasis on control and precision, Pilates also values fluidity. Each movement flows seamlessly, creating a dance between tension and release, strength and grace.
Holistic Development Pilates does not focus on isolated muscle groups but on the body as an integrated whole. This holistic vision ensures balanced development, where all parts of the body work in harmony.
